For the first time visitor VMworld 2016 is overwhelming. There is just so much to see and do. So I thought I would share with you some VMworld 2016 Tips I have learned after attending a number of VMworlds. VMWorld 2016 Tips – The Right Hotel
Its always best to stay at the conference hotel if you can. Sometimes it is sold out or it is just out of your Budget. Then at this event stay at the LUXOR hotel. It is connected to Mandalay Bay and you can walk there every day. Staying at the Luxor Hotel will ?save you from racking up big Taxi cab bills. if you are a member of a Casino’s frequent visitor program, check out the rates there.
VMworld 2016 Tips – The Right Shoes
If you never leave Mandalay Bay hotel itself, you will do a lot of walking. Make sure you wear comfortable cloths and very comfortable shoes or sneakers. You will be spending a lot of time on your feet. Wear a FITBIT or an Apple Watch and see your step count climb and climb and climb.

VMworld 2016 Tips – Network, Network, Network
Don’t Spend all your time in sessions. At this event will be some of the brightest people in the industry. Take time to meet other people and network. People like Michael Webster, David Klee, Duncan Epping will be there and they wont be surrounded by security guards. Many of the sessions are recorded. If you miss one, you can always listen to it later. I met both Michael Webster and Duncan Epping at VMWorld. great guys to talk with.
VMworld 2016 Tips – Hands On Labs
The Hands on Labs are all available at the conference. Take the time and get your hands a little dirty and try out the technology first hand. If the line is too long come back at end of day or early in the morning.
VMworld 2016 Tips – Check Out Solutions Exchange
Everything you would ever possible need to use with VMware is available at Solutions Exchange. Make the time to take it all in. Lots of great Demos are happening. If you have a question, go ahead and ask the vendors.
